I find myself obsessed by windows, sizing up the framed image for photogenic qualities and potential watercolour subjects. What is it, I wonder, that has so captured my imagination?
For two-and-a-half years, confined to a bed, windows were my only connection to the world – one framing bird feeders and happy activity, and the other a beautiful tree that helped me map the seasons.
Now, sitting at my mother’s side, awaiting death, I feel as if another window has opened up – one that reminds us that this life is temporary, and although we cannot know what lies beyond, there is faith to guide us.
So this week, let’s think about windows: the symbolism, the images, the questions they evoke.
I look forward to your responses.

This one really touched my heart. There is something about a window over the sink.

My take on your challenge … First time (I believe) for me to participate in one of your challenges, and I am glad to have found you (followed Cee’s post here — thank you, Cee!)
May all windows have someone to look through them, and may all who wish, be able to step out into the world and not only see the world through the window …

đŸ™‚ Glad to have found you. I’ve come to realize a while ago that ‘stalking’ some of my blogger friends is a great way to find some worthy things to participate in … đŸ™‚ I ‘stalk’ Dale (of “A Dalectable Life”), for example, regularly … đŸ™‚
