I’m lying here with the heating pad, altering it’s position every so often to ease the pain that has set in since my trip back home. I can’t quite shake the lingering exhaustion.
Three things are running through my mind, disrupting sleep:
- the book I’m working on (and have set aside for far too long)
- our recent talk of finances – prompting me to ponder how I might earn more money, and
- writing this and other blog posts.
It occurs to me that no matter what plans we carefully draw up for ourselves, the destination is seldom what we have anticipated. Life keeps shifting.
I have enjoyed the many responses to this week’s challenge, and it appears that as a community, we are growing. Our shared insights and images continue to inspire. Here is a poem created from the titles of work’s submitted:
Darkness to light
break on through,
finding meaning,
it’s the journey that matters,
road to happiness,
Are we there yet?
No decisions, no responsibilities,
no work-around-the-clock.
Quote of the day,
Love, I See
Journey of creative enlightenment
See you tomorrow morning for a new challenge.
Hi V.J. Just to let you know that I was just going through all the postings for this theme and clicked on `Misty Rush` and it brought me to my post. You might want to look into that. 🙂

I’m no stranger to a heating pad. My hip gets very angry on a regular basis since last spring. Love the treatment of that photo, V. J. Those mountains are amazing. 🙂

Thanks Olga. Sorry to hear about your hip. I’m sure the cold doesn’t help.

I hope you’re feeling better quickly, V.J. A few months back I suggested you put your photos/paintings into a calendar. You could sell them at local street fairs, etc. Only during warmer months though!!

Yes, you did! I’ve been thinking about that.

You should do it! I’d buy one 🙂 Or just take your photos and add the verses, frame them and sell them that way, too. So many things you can do!

My daughter has been giving me ideas also. I just need a manager, lol.

I hope the heating pad is doing it’s magic for you. Splendid how the titles all flow together into a poem.
Rest well.

Exhaustion that hangs on can feel like treading water…with no shoreline in sight. Ugh. I hope you can rest soon. I like your poem and how it flows from post to post. Thank you!

Hi – I like the poem from the entries — so creative
And try magniesun chloride (I like life-Flo brand and buy the flakes and let them dissolve and then apply the brine to skin with coconut oil) – VJ it helps so much because the trace minerals and magnesium are restorative and healing –
Hope your night ends well

Wonderful poem you have created from all the inspired writers…we are each on our own journey, but you have connected our voices and found a common destination! Thanks V.J.

I noticed how the titles all seemed to flow together – didn’t even change the order – they are as they appeared.
