April means farewell, for we winter Texans.
Not fated to be a quick journey, as problems keep arising, grounding travel, and interfering with our plans.
Nevertheless, April means Spring and everywhere we look the birds are twittering with extra fervency – is that romance in the air?
And even though we’ve encountered setbacks – breakdowns and other nuisances – the trees are greener, and some even have sprouted blooms.
Our time in the south may be closing, but the South will forever remain in our hearts. A little bit of Texas is coming home with us.
So long for now, y’all.

Home sweet home. Welcome back!

A little bit of Ontario will always be in our hearts because of you. Hopefully High Island and Anahuac proved delightful. Safe journey.

I’ve been wondering if Texas seems like a whole “nuther” world to you, as a Canadian–a different culture entirely? Anyway, you’re in my constant thoughts (constant, as in frequent and faithful)–and sending up extra prayers for the way home to be smoother ❤

Texas is so different than small town Ontario – in countless ways. It’s been such a wonderful experience. We are currently hold up in Mississippi without a car – it died – and waiting on service for the RV. It has been teeming rain all day. Sorry to gripe but I just want to be home.
