A Town With Many Views

After dinner, we drive the backroads and end up at the flats, behind the falls. A bench becomes our front row seat to the evening river view.

A beaver or muskrat swims by and follows a second river away from the falls. I try to catch him, but only capture ripples and a reflection of the bridge.

A couple glide along in their canoe while others stop to enjoy the view from the overhead trail. A family of ducks glide by, and an eagle flies overhead.

The evening air is warm and still. A beautiful June night. We stay till the sun begins to set.

Just one of the gorgeous views in our little town.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Wonderful look at the quiet beauty in your area. Being close to nature always gives one a sense of peace. Happy to see that you have lovely waterways to experience. ❤

      1. I’ve always wished to live beside water. Maybe one day. 🙂 I can see a glimpse of Ramsey Lake from my balcony, but it’s not the same.
