After dinner, we drive the backroads and end up at the flats, behind the falls. A bench becomes our front row seat to the evening river view.
A beaver or muskrat swims by and follows a second river away from the falls. I try to catch him, but only capture ripples and a reflection of the bridge.
A couple glide along in their canoe while others stop to enjoy the view from the overhead trail. A family of ducks glide by, and an eagle flies overhead.
The evening air is warm and still. A beautiful June night. We stay till the sun begins to set.
Just one of the gorgeous views in our little town.

Idyllic, so pleasant just to look at and share in.

The water really makes a difference, doesn’t it? Thanks Olga.

I’ve always wished to live beside water. Maybe one day. 🙂 I can see a glimpse of Ramsey Lake from my balcony, but it’s not the same.

That’s been a dream for us too. We have to make do with driving to nearby places.

It is a sleepy town for sure, although a tourist stop in the good weather.
