VJ’s Weekly Challenge #75: satisfying

“Look at this Grandma!”

The video shows pink, elephant shaped, blobs falling from the sky and hitting rooftops.

“It’s so satisfying!”

“What’s satisfying about it?”

“The way they land, and how the pink spreads out.”

She then shows me another video, also satisfying, of a fingers squeezing a tube with holes in the top. Purple strands of gook emerge.

Such is the mind of an eight-year-old.

After dinner, she clears away the table and brings out the art box. I begin to doodle.

“Now, this is satisfying!” I proclaim.

We are into December. If you celebrate the holidays, that means the stress is turned up high. Take a moment for enjoyment, particularly the satisfying kind, and drop us a line to share. Of course, this challenge is open to everyone, no matter your beliefs or practices.

Look forward to your response!

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.
