Time For Pause

The current struggle: keeping up with holiday festivities, fighting a stubborn cold, and caring for grandchildren, has taken its toll. I am behind in reading posts, and feeling overwhelmed by social media.

Time for a pause.

I will be scaling back activities till the season has passed and I’ve regained a semblance of normalcy.

Not sure yet how the New Year will unfold.

Best to all for a good holiday season. May health and happiness be yours.

Thank you to all the inspired participants this week:

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Always good to realize what one’s priorities are. I’m slowing down also in blogging. Meet you in the New Year if it’s meant to be. Merry Christmas and blessings in 2020. ❀

  2. Dear VJ, I am sending good cheer and warm weather your way. I have been enjoying all the different takes on such a great prompt. I hope your pause is peaceful one. Hugs, Sarah

  3. Good call
To pause and I know it easier said than done – but try not to let the blog mode overwhelm you –
That is when it robs our joy – and causes some to quit for good.
It is good to pause and also play to not read everyone all the time.
Although it does stink when people who host challenges start to not visit participants – but tray is a different topic – my point is that it does take seasonal balance and sounds like you are making the right call- so enjoy your beautiful Family and also – enjoy the holiday for all that it has
    Peace to you

  4. I believe many bloggers are taking a hiatus to enjoy the holidays, It’s good to take a break and hopefully, we can come back with a feeling of renewal. I hope you feel better, VJ, and enjoy those grandchildren.
