This apple didn’t fall far from the tree –
I am a chip off the old block,
course that’s letting the cat out of the bag.
Actually, I’m on the fence
trying to decide which way is up
Used to be confused, now I’m not so sure.
Trying to weed through all this nonsense
find the light at the end of the tunnel
too many clichés clogging my brain.
Those pesky clichés pop up everywhere. This week let’s have fun with them.

“Writing’s on (your) wall” for sure, lol. Good take.

I would prefer them as quotes to lessen the meaning of cliche

I suppose, except seldom are the origins known. These are merely expressions overused to the point of being stale.

I wonder if the origin can be pinpointed?

So many cliches. I do like “This too shall pass”, but sometimes it takes too long to pass or never passes. Ha ha! 🙂

Exactly! I can’t count the number times in a day I hear myself uttering one. Ugh!
