Summer Delights

The heat of summer, typically fuels our wandering impulses. A spontaneous drive to the beach, or a weekend up north. Now that coronavirus has reined us in, we search seasonal delight closer to home: roses in the garden, the emerald green of farm fields, and the leisurely hunt of a furry fisherman.

(For Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: summer.)

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. A perfect summer’s day! Rocky Raccoon took me by surprise. When I read “furry fisherman,” I was expecting some guy wearing a strange fishing vest. (Or whatever you call those things with all the pockets.)

  2. LOL for your furry fisherman V.J. We don’t normally see them in daylight hours, and I’ve never seen one in the water! Looks like your pandemic restrictions still allow plenty of exposure to nature’s gifts!
