Wonderful photos but that capture of the Green Jays is exceptional! We are planning to go to Texas for the 2024 solar eclipse and I hope to get really south to get this bird. 😊

I was born & raised in Texas…but there are parts, especially far south and west that I’ve never been to. I’ve never been to the top of Texas for instance. Maybe in 3 1/2 years I can hit those spots. We were poor when I was a kid so traveling wasn’t much of thing. I didn’t get on my first airplane until I was 18 and had graduated high school. First flight was to Hawaii. LOL!

I know when we travelled across NA we met many people who hadn’t travelled much beyond their area, so not unusual. I’ve been thinking about a little place we visited in Texas called Salineno. It is tiny, tiny, but at the end of this long narrow road is a bird sanctuary. We saw so many incredible birds there. Well worth the journey.
