A groundhog waits for this photographer to move on.
Not sure what this guy is waiting for, but I feel as if I can relate.

Haha, you really had me smiling there, VJ…love these “waitings”. Great shots ! And I do think they are waiting for the camera to get lost…

You have captured the epitome of “waiting” – beautiful shots, and the expression on the heron’s face! Is that concentration or consternation?

I think consternation…course that could be projection, lol. He did look hunched against the cold.

I love those shots VJ…i wonder what they’ve been waiting or how long they’ve been waiting…

Thanks. The groundhog ducked under the rock as soon as he saw me – so he was waiting for me to leave. I think the heron was just as stunned as I was by the sudden arrival of Winter, lol.

I think he’s waiting for you to do something about the snow! Great shots!

You could be right. He looks just as confused as I feel, lol.

Wow, those are some great shots V.J.! Our groundhog would never let us get that close to him. If he even sees us moving through the window he takes off and is out the gate and back in the woods in seconds.

Thanks Terri. I suspect this fellow thought I couldn’t see him, lol.
