Threes in Threes (or so)

Amateur, I am, when it comes to photography. I’m excited to learn the ins and outs. This week, Nancy Merrill instructs on the rule of thirds. The featured image represents thistles leaning into the third.

This daffodils are leaning outside the boundaries, but there is something interesting about this shot to me.

Thanks Nancy Merrill for your A Photo a Week Challenge: Threes and Threes

  1. Great examples of thirds. I just dabble in photography, and I’ve never really paid attention to thirds vertically, thanks for the tip! There is something about the daffodil shot and I’m not sure if it is that one leaf that defies the principal and is laying horizontally trying to reach back into the other third!

  2. Great photos VJ! Although daffodils are my favorite flowers, the thistles are really what caught my attention. There’s something so interesting about the juxtaposition of those seemingly dead stalks of thistles with the fresh green leaves behind them. Hope you’re doing well sweet friend!
