Parcels of Joy

Family, furry and feathered friends – just a few sources of joy for Nancy Merrill’s A Photo a Week challenge.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. I didn’t know that bluejays eat whole peanuts! (I assume they must crack them and break them down in some way to eat them?) You got a great close-up shot. My immediate impression of your furry friends is what intelligent faces they have. I love the summertime photo. It looks like there was swimming involved.

    1. Not sure what the jays do with the peanuts – they don’t eat them on site. We fill up the feeder and the peanuts are gone in 20 minutes – simply entertaining. The pups are definitely engaged – eager to please. My one daughter has a pool, so many family gatherings happened there – pre Covid. Thanks Liz.
