Great images, VJ. And the b&w one … the not-quite-open yet bloom strikes me as petals folded in prayer … for clear skies (no bombs!)

Thanks Jazz. That what I thought too!

Lovely, VJ. I have found myself drawing more and getting lost in the movement and the expression. A meditation for me.

This is such a great way to channel the heartache of Ukraine into something positive. Your sunflowers are lovely.

Thanks Liz. I’m learning. Hope to be able to do a painting that I can hang in our guest room.

….once again you model the power of symbolism to lift more than just your own spirit. They are bursting with hope and resilience.

What a great idea – drawing ca be so therapeutic and then the sunflower has the rich Ukraine connection and floral delight!
Enjoyed seeing your work.
And side note – on a trip to Florida years ago – maybe 2015…. when my aunt was still alive – I was trying to sketch every day – and almost reached that goal – anyhow – one day I sketched these images from her “French trays” that had copies of masterpieces on them
Anyhow / for some reason those sketches of mine are dear to me in my mind – they remind me of my aunt and I can still see the pages in my mind

I think we pour a part of ourselves into the art – that’s what makes them special. Drawing is very therapeutic. Thanks Yvette.
