Thought-provoking, indeed! Being a solo act can be distressing, however, on the other hand, who do you trust?

Self, first, then hopefully, an other. Thanks

VJ, people love to help others, provided it is sincere. (Some like to offer, expecting you to say no.) There are times when even the obstinate should let them. Note, your real friends will just start helping with things they know you will need. Keith

I’ve noticed that, Keith. Thanks for the input.

This part… exactly. You could need help and want to ask for it and be surrounded by people who are like “I’d like to but..” or go to someone you’ve helped plenty and be turned away. I personally had to stop asking for help because of people like that. If someone wants to truly help you without holding over your head or throwing it in your face- they will just help you without a million questions and an interrogation method… otherwise they are just trying to get involved and not even be there for you.
Yes we all do. But you can’t give your need for help to just anyone.

You are right. Shutting out everyone is not the answer either. Discernment is a useful skill.
