Signs of Success

Ric and I took a road trip to Strathroy, Ontario last Friday, to catch up with old friends. We met at Alla’s Pierogies & More, a cute little restaurant with three tables and of course, the exuberant host: Alla.

Afterwards, we visited Mykola at his trendy bakery for tea and treats.

Alla and Mykola’s families are amongst the many I was able to help match with hosts in Canada. So inspired by their success.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Good for you VJ – so glad to see people helping people. And of course pierogis are one of my VERY favorite foods. My sister-in-law’s aunt use to make them for us but sadly she’s passed. I’ve made them a few times myself but they are TONS of work. I’d love to have a restaurant nearby that makes them but sadly no such thing – at least for now.
