I know a little girl, whose hair in ringletsfalls, unkempt from lackof brushing; who standswhen she should be sitting;who laughs with defiance whenchallenged, her dark eyes gleamingwith mischief; who holds her chin uphigh and stamps her feet, arms foldedin protest when she does not get her way. That would be very cool to see! I didn’t know we had one in Ontario.
It made me think of the Pontcysylite Aqueduct I visited this summer in Wales. It was built in the 1800s as an industrial route across the River Dee. Now it’s a world heritage site and long boats and kayakers cross it. It’s amazing what engineers can design!

It was incredible. My friends walked across it, but I don’t like heights so I went below and took photos from underneath.
