Although their call is quite loud, these beautiful, bright-headed birds are elusive. I had to be patient and sneaky to capture these shots of the Red-bellied Woodpecker.

Great woodpecker shots! A few minutes ago, I heard what I thought was a woodpecker pecking our wood siding, but it turned out to be a chickadee!
