I vowed I wouldn’t show photos of people on screens for this challenge, but then I couldn’t resist the serious look of these two cousins ” Just watching something, Grandma.” A family walk is much more satisfying – at least from my perspective. Then I caught this fellow and I couldn’t help but sneak a […]
With each photo challenge that I enter, I learn. This week the Lens-Artists challenge is filling the frame. The featured image and this that follows, were taken in my daughter’s backyard – a tribute to the end of summer. This photo was taken at our local falls. I decide to isolate one segment.
No big box here, just shops lined upin historic rows our fragranceeau-de-ferme,earthen fresh Our spires remindersthat values are simple, and life blessed. (For Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Countryside/ and or Small Towns)
The stillness of a summer’s day,a single ray of golden light, the way the wind curls and teases – There is magic to be found,in tucked away places, and right in plain sight. (For Lens-Artists photo challenge this week: magical.)

So many aspects of our little town make it intriguing, and while my focus has been on the natural areas, I am also drawn to the architecture and history, so one angle at a time, I’ve decided to start exploring each element. Photos of St Marys, Ontario, Canada, submitted for Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: angles.
The old church window juxtaposed with a modern-day traffic light. A blue swing chair that I wouldn’t mind borrowing, and a borrowed perch while the driver is at lunch: None of these things suitable for the traditional sense of the rhyme, but fun all the same. (For Lens-Artists Challenge: Something new, old, borrowed, blue.)
Bless those who take accessibility into account when planning areas of recreation. Strategically placed benches offer slow moving vehicles like me a chance to idle away a morning or afternoon, in the company of my cherished feathers friends. (For Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Taking a break.)
Serenity is time spent, lakeside. These images are from last summer. This year, unfortunately, health has intervened with any forays north. Still hoping. For Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Seascapes and/or lakeshores.
