Silhouettes

“There is no point aiming your camera that way; the shot won’t turn out.”

Ric can be a naysayer, even if he is right.

Except sometimes the resulting silhouette is art in itself, so; I do it anyway.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. hahah – yup – I do it anyway als0

and love the first shot especially

and was just at Johnbo’s take on this theme and he said something similar

“Never shoot into the sun.” If there was ever a rule to be broken, this one sure is.

  2. The first one is wonderful, V.J. The viewer can see just enough of the bird’s feather patterns and branch textures to tell the story, yet it is a brilliantly-done silhouette. Love it! Happy to hear that you’re an independent thinker in photography. ❤
