Acceptance and Endurance

Some things are put in our path to battle, some to test our faith, and some to teach us acceptance.

I wrote this while waiting to see the specialist, not knowing the outcome. Seems my lesson, this time, was as Jazz noted in the comments this week, was endurance. Happily, I made it.

Inspired by you all, I’ve decided to borrow and paste:

Endurance,
long and winding road,
acceptance is a messy game
reinvents new challenges
battle scar tread marks on our backs
in a storm of my own making
surrender to know

As always, I have deeply touched by your thoughts, wishes, and words this week.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.
