I’m really just a simple gal,
who finds pleasure in simple things,
like a flash of yellow at the bird feeder
or the surprise of spring abundance

and whimsical notions conjured by a treehouse

and the neighbourliness of front porches

all made extraordinary, when shared.

I am with you. I love the simplicity of your poem. The photos are soothing. Light summer thoughts…

This sounds lovely and peaceful. 😊 me too! I’ve been watching for my hummingbirds to come back, but have yet to see one.

Oh, I love the hummingbirds. We only get one kind here in Canada – the ruby-throated. Saw so many in Arizona. They really are amazing.

I love hearing them zip past me on my patio. I can never remember the kind we get here, my dad knows.
