The main rose has ‘whitened out’ because it is so much brighter than the main background. You camera has averaged the colours and given more notice to the majority deep green shades, showing them perfectly.
If your camera allows, lower the exposure from the default setting of 0 to a negative number to see the brighter images clearly while darkening the background. 😉 Do the reverse if your main subject is in a darker area of your frame. If you like you can do this also in post processing but you need imaging software – there are several good free ones! 🙂
