The original photograph was dull – a cloud of crows dispersing at my interruption – and I almost tossed it, till I saw an hint of possibility.
Played with the colours, added filters to give it a painted finish and found a graphic of a man holding a camera. Et voilà, my dull birding photo becomes an expression of my love.
A little animation helps too.
We’re in a self-imposed lockdown as Omicron appears to be raging. I’ve decided this is the perfect opportunity to unleash the creative. How are you coping these days? Inspire me.
I try to maintain a balance between branching out and focusing on what is at hand. I love what you did with the photo.

Thanks Eugi. Balance and moderation – need to make these my mantra.

I love how you’re branching out into new creative directions, VJ! Right now, I’m having to stop myself from branching out because I’m overextended as it is. Focus is the name of the game for me right now!!

Focus wouldn’t hurt me either, Liz. Then maybe I’d actually get something published.

You’re thinking literary magazines, book, both?

Both. I have a memoir in works and a book of poetry. Also some essays in the works.

Oh, that’s right! I’d forgotten about the memoir. I hope you’re able to devote some time to all three projects.

I love what you did with the photo! You inspire me. I’m back to work and I’m finding I have less head space for creativity.

Work does that to you, lol. I’m sure you channel your creativity at work. Thanks Heather!

Lol…I’d much rather be channeling it from home these days!
