  8. ….that precipitous drop in the top photograph is spellbinding. As a child we lived relatively near Niagara Falls and I remember standing at the railed-in edge of Horseshoe Falls and feeling mesmerized and almost sick with the feeling that the water was beckoning me, like a siren, to become one with it.
