As a child we lived relatively near Niagara Falls and I remember standing at the railed-in edge of Horseshoe Falls and feeling mesmerized and almost sick with the feeling that the water was beckoning me, like a siren, to become one with it.

Yes! We lived near there too for a spell. This isn’t quite as steep of a drop but still gave me the same feeling – old age making me wobblier, lol.
