Finding Calm

A former meditation teacher said that as long as there is a tree within sight, you have the inspiration you need to stay centred in the moment.

Hard to argue with that.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. What a lovely thought, VJ. I love trees and used to talk to them when I was a child. Outside our apartment windows, there are several huge trees, and we love to sit on balcony and enjoy them.

  2. Wow…and yes. I’ve never heard the importance of trees described in that way, but it perfectly captures the power of a leafy canopy – or bare branches – to help me reset and relax.
    Thank you, VJ. 💕
