Blindly Finding Me

A new drawing exercise: draw a self-portrait everyday for two weeks without looking at the paper. It is a challenge, but it’s fun and I decided to add colour in a couple of them.

Here’s where I’ve gotten to so far:

I may have discovered a new art style. At the very least, it’s fun.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. I love these VJ! This sounds like such an interesting challenge. I hope you’ll share your whole two weeks’ worth once you’re done with them. From what I see here already, I know you’re going to have a fabulous collage of images once you’re done!

  2. Thanks, VJ. The drawings plus colour are great. And it looks like fun. I can’t wait to try it.

I just started two weeks of Sketchbook Revival – free art workshops online and I am especially enjoying blind contour drawing!!
