CFFC: Places We Visit

We visit nature – as often as we can.  The featured image is the Bryce Thompson Arboretum State Park in Arizona.  I love the white bark of the eucalyptus tree mingled with the soft greens, set against a clear blue sky.

We visit local eateries.  This one, bearing the same name as our #1 granddaughter, is in Victoria, B.C.  Harbour front, we sat here, dined on seafood and had a nice view of the water as well as Victoria’s architecture.

We visit landmark places, such as Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon – floor after floor of books and gifts.  Might have spent too much here.

We visit convalescent homes, where those like my sister and mother, receive full-time care and never enough company.  Pictured here is a reunion between my sister and our eldest brother, whom we only see every other year or so.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.
