I’m drawn to the details –
a knot hole in a tree –
hoping my close-up
will reveal a curiosity.
The inside of Saguaro,
ancient and grey –
reveals the inner bones,
speaks to a better day.
A roadside encounter
brought me face to tail
with an unsuspecting deer
and a lens that did not fail.
It’s not only in nature that
the details tell the story –
in Jake’s Famous Crawfish
doors speak of former glory.
(Thank you to Nancy Merrill for this week’s prompt: Devil in the Details. Jake’s Famous Crawfish is in Portland, Oregon. The deer photo was taken in Washington State, the saguaro in Arizona, and the knot hole in B.C.)
Beautiful photos! I also love taking close-up photos of old trees and bark. They tell such interesting stories, don’t they? Thanks for joining the challenge!
