Ode to Pink Wings

What glory, what delight,
to witness pink in flight –

wondrous plumes stretched out wide,
ponderous bills thrust forth in pride.

(In celebration of the Roseate Spoonbills whose graced my lens recently. Submitted for Nancy Merrill’s A Photo A Week: pink.)

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Oh you caught some nice pink on the photos and your words are sweetly repeating in my mind:

    What glory, what delight,
to witness pink in flight –

    What glory, what delight,
to witness pink in flight –
    Ahhh
