I’ve often wondered about the “rule” of odd-numbered “pairings” of things. I once went to a jeweler to have a ring made from an old one with an even number of stones to transfer…he said it like it was law: “I’ll have to add another diamond”. Being still so unassertive (working on that yet, maybe forever), I just went along 🙂
