Our little Miniature Pinscher had a life jacket for going out on the canoe with us. One day she was out with us, sitting beside me on the seat, and suddenly I heard lots of splashing. I looked and she had either jumped or fallen into the water when my head was turned. If you notice in your photo, there’s a handle on top of the life jacket. That’s so you can haul them out of the water easily if you need to. I just grabbed the little handle and pulled her back up into the canoe. Thanks for bringing back a special memory of my beloved Cindy Lou.

Oh how sweet. Thanks for the explanation. This dog was such a character and knew exactly what was happening. So excited.

Awwww, that’s very sweet! I thought all dogs were good swimmers but maybe this protects him in case of an accident if he’s injured??

I don’t know. The dogs we had always swam, but this dog did seem more two than four footed, lol.
