Time stands still; we wait
the noise of speculation stark contrast
to the reality that confronts us

Where do we go from here
and what authority to trust
and in this imposed solitude

can we find the strength
of reflection, the courage
to follow an inner lead?

  5. VJ, well done. I think we start by supporting each other, reaching out to friends. I have seen so many more neighbors out walking. That is a silver lining.

    As for the bigger picture, we need to listen to the truthtellers. Who are they? They are the ones who don’t pat themselves on the back saying what a good job they are doing. They are ones who say I don’t know and we are not sure, rather than blaming others.

    When I think of courage, I respect the heck out of people who work for a vindictive boss saying what he just said is not correct. Or, looking back, those who testified under oath of their concerns about inappropriate behavior knowing they would lose their jobs.

    Courage is not false bravado. It is quiet leadership. At least that is what this old fart thinks. Keith
