Nature herself seems confused these days – flowers linger despite the frosty chill. Inside, we prepare to hunker down for the cold weather, knowing that there is always potential for hindered travel.
Isolation plays with the mind, conjures certainty of malfeasance. Ric’s recovery is slow and his spirit is lagging. I feel somehow left behind, as if the world continues to weave their stories and have forgotten about me. Silly, I know. We are all in the same boat, but I had to pull myself up by the bootstraps this week and force myself to reach out. Reception, of course, was warm.
Beware the inner frost, I council myself. The heart’s fire needs tending – the love and communion of others is essential.
Outside the rain turns to sleet and cold winds coat bare branches with ice. Inside, I open WP account and set to read. Through the marvels of modern communication, I am cheered.
Thanks to all who participated this week. The topic was frost.

I will back tomorrow morning with a new challenge. Hope you will join in.

The weather here in my town has gone haywire. It’s bit chilly in the morning, warm in the afternoon, dry in the evening and back to the warm at night.
Totally baffled I’m.

Same here. After the snow we have had almost summer weather. Weird.

So challenging to remain positive but one keeps trying…
All the best to you and Ric. Take care.

It’s true. I guess knowing that we’re all in the same place helps.

“The heart needs tending…” Excellent thought, VJ! We all need a reminder of that. đŸ™‚

You’re right about nature seeming to reflect this upside down, inside out world we find ourselves in.

It sure doesn’t help. We got dumped on with snow yesterday.

We had such high winds today that our house was getting pelted with pine cones.

That could hurt, lol.

When my hubby doesn’t feel well, I try my best to stay cheerful and be positive for him. I find myself fretting too much about worldly issues not within my control. The ongoing doomsday news is becoming worrisome for both of us. It’s unsettling and I realize we have to shake it. Best wishes to you and Ric and stay strong.

There seems to be a general sense of impending doom, V.J. It suffuses everything and is hard to shake, so we need to be especially kind and patient with ourselves and others.
Best wishes for you and Ric,
Tanja
