You’re welcome, V.J.! I remember when the maple leaf flag first came out. My dad had a parish in Hereford, Quebec, and his parisioners were not happy; they thought the design was garish. I’d forgotten all about that!

I remember when they were deciding on the flag. Somehow the simple design was reassuring.

I liked it. But I suppose there will always be those traditionalists who say if the flag ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
