IfI wereto writeevery dayfor onehundred days, would my soulbe purged ofthis malaise;is it a thingto be dredged, dragged up –twistedand tiedlike tatteredbed sheetsknottedtogether;is therea remedyfor thisscourge;or is thisan inherentrestlessness,a fiery bluespark of eternalangst ignitingpassion – a callto write? Red is definitely a mood lifter. There were two red cardinals on the barren tree outside our balcony the other day. They’re easy to spot against the drabness.

Me too! Berries the birds don’t eat brighten up winter. I always lament at the clothing choices for winter coats – mostly black. Last year, I bought a bright white parka (super warm as well). I love the combo photo and poem. That could be a poster on my wall.

Thanks Sarah. I’m with you on the black coats – also bought a white one last year – must be a poetry thing, lol.
