Not Everything is “Stuff”

An apology, dear readers, if this week’s challenge came across as glib. By “stuff“, I was referring to the incidental: a broken foot, a set of stitches, a temporary setback. In no way did I intend to imply that trauma or loss is “stuff”. Some things, with a bit of grit, can be overcome. I recognize that not everything is this simple.

Thank you to Curating Thoughts, whose powerful write illustrated the difference. I am humbled by and grateful for your words.

Thanks also to those who participated this week, and for the many kind words.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Ohh I am so sorry you felt it this way V.J. I very well got what you meant with the prompt but I when I got writing those words came out. I in fact wanted to thank you for getting my brains churning with the prompt. I myself didn’t realize those thoughts were embedded inside. I love your prompts, please keep them coming ❤️❤️

  2. You didn’t come across to me as glib at all. I did enter this challenge (this afternoon), but perhaps I was too late. My fault as it’s been taking a while to learn the new block editing. If you can, I hope you get a chance to read it. 🙂
