I’m seeing it now as a sitcom, you know 22 minute vignettes in which the ordinary becomes the absurd.

Episode One:  The Preparations Are Mighty
As departure time draws near, Ric’s paper plans have overtaken the house.  Meanwhile, VJ, unable to get out of bed, is trying to direct a flustered hired help to pack all the essentials.  When the triumphant moment arrives, the excited couple realize there is no room for them.

Episode Two:  Navigational Challenges
All is going well until Ric decides he wants to take a side tour and they travel off the beaten route with only a map to guide them.  V.J., unable to watch the road and read the map loses her perspective and they end up in the wrong place – really the wrong place.

Episode Three:  First Night Camping
Exhausted from travel, V.J. is confined to bed.  Meanwhile, Ric prepares the meal (with a few challenges thrown in) and after discovers that the shower is not quite built for his body type.  (Think Mr. Bean trying to shower in a phone booth).
