Blue Is More Than Melancholy

Blue is longing,
for summer lakes
and clear skies –
a promise of forever

It is the subtle hue
of whimsical magic
on wings that fly

Blue is tuxedo perfection
a gift wrapped in perpetual
song, iridescent delight.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.
