I read once that when obstacles present themselves, it means you are on the right path. I think it was Caroline Myss. Of course, I’m paraphrasing, and from memory at that.
What’s important is my takeaway. Life isn’t meant to be easy. It is meant to challenge and encourage growth, just as the gardener who digs deep into the soil, removes the debris that blocks, and then nourishes the seeds. There is always work to be done and obstacles along the way. Keep going.
Ric and I made some decisions about our life this week. For me, it marks the culmination of a dream, and therefore; I am very excited. And just as we set the wheels in motion, my computer crashes, with the threat of losing all my work. On top of that I have fallen back into a cycle of insomnia, and I shattered the lens on Ric’s camera.
It’s a bit like heading into the maze. I have no idea which route will get me out, and I don’t want to turn back, so I’ll just have to deal with the roadblocks.
Gaining some balance would be really good right now too. Keep sending your encouraging and inspirational posts – this really is my challenge this week.
(Every week I offer a challenge – for myself and readers who want to join in. This week is balance. I’m also linking this with Willow Poetry’s weekly challenge: What Do You See? for which the image is the prompt.)
You will emerge from this cocoon that seems to be spinning itself around you all that much stronger and more resilient. I believe you are right in thinking balance is the key.

Clearly a LOT of energy swirling around you. Not surprising you have insomnia.
I too believe obstacles appear when we “need” to stop and think about what we’re doing. They’re “signs” from the Universe – coercing focus. May the broken camera lens and crashed computer prove fixable/replaceable inconveniences … but hang onto the poetry springing from their interruptions.
And take heed if you don’t have a backup system for your files – you have so many valuable images and poems to protect. (I’m using Carbonite – automatic copies of everything into the cloud – accessible from wherever I may be.)

Everything is now backed up onto a drive. The computer is limping along. I did lose some images – mostly the artified ones, but have the originals. It’s all slowing me down, which is not a bad thing, lol.

When challenges present themselves there is always opportunity for growth. However, sometimes it would be nice to walk (sleep) from point A to B without unrest. Here’s hoping for that uninterrupted path.

That’s a heap of challenge you’re facing. I really hope you were able to retrieve your computer files!! What an unthinkable dilemma.
Sending positive thoughts for light at the end of the maze. (as well as for some sleep)

Sleep is coming. Had saved some files ahead of this but many lost. Oh well. Onward and upward, lol

The two prompts merge perfectly with each other V.J. How unfortunate when everything fall apart all at once Hopefully it is a sign of better days ahead. It is a sunny day here today. Happy Valentine’s to you and Ric.
