Ruled out: COVID, heart failure, cancer, and blood clots.
Twelve hours in emergency, under intense scrutiny revealed no answers. Symptoms continue.
You need “restorative rest” the ER doctor emphasized. “Hire help if you can.”
I suspect this is just another stage in my journey with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. The least amount of effort tires me, leaves me breathless. I have been here before. This too will pass.
Meantime, I limp along, grasping normalcy when a window opens.
Your thoughts and prayers mean so much. I’ll keep checking in.
(Photo mine. Thank goodness for the abundance of nature within my view.)
Dear VJ! Hoping that your health improves and that the additional tests show what can speed your recovery. ((hugs))

Wow, VJ, 12 hours in the ER and you pretty much diagnose the problem yourself. It is good to know what is not going on though. How frustrating and I wonder how much deja vu you are feeling, having gone this way before from what I recall. “Resting” isn’t as easy as it sounds – especially when you feel awful. And tired. I am also sending healing thoughts your way. What a year it’s been!

Thanks Andrea. More specialists and tests are lined up in the near future, and you’re right, it is tiring. Looking forward to the new year.

Welcome. Let’s all hope the new year brings better things and better health. I hope your tests give you the answers you need.

Hope you feel better soon…in the meantime if you can, engage in something totally indulgent just to help your emotional state.

Indeed, rest is good therapy. But not always our heart’s desire, huh? Wishing you peace while this holds you back and sending hope that you emerge with vigor and poetic reflections.

Rest, rest, rest. Let nature be the medicine. Will wait eagerly for you to return full time once you regain strength. Till then lots of hugs and love.
