Meditation, a former teacher of mine said, is as easy as contemplating a tree.
Imagine its roots running deep into the Earth
grounding and nurturing
Imagine its branches reaching towards the sky
bending with the breezes
Imagine yourself
deeply rooted
touching the sky,
strong and calm.

Hi VJ, did you create this painting on the computer? It’s very intriguing visually.

That’s so beautiful, V.J. I like the idea of trying to emulate trees, these amazing creatures.

That is exactly how I feel when I meditate. Trees are the perfect example!

Could meditation be as easy as that? It’s always seemed very daunting to me.

If meditation will help with insomnia, I’ll try it.

It can help with insomnia, although I don’t always think to do it, lol. Times I have, I usually fall back to sleep before I can finish.

Sounds like it works, then, if you fall asleep before you can finish!

I read somewhere about a guy that spent 10 hours a day for 10 years meditating while staring at the wall. When asked what he achieved he said he got very good at staring at walls. 🙏
