Ours are plain zinc corrugated sheets, sometimes powder-coated in a colour, but rarely. Yours seem far more exciting.

Red is the proper barn color. There’s a blue one near to me, and it’s not bad, but it’s not red either. There was a Red Barn in Saratoga Springs when I was a kid. It went out and a Popes Pizza went in. Building is gone, but Popes is still making pizzas a few blocks away.

I can’t remember when the Red Barn disappeared. I still think of it when we drive by that intersection – a Tim Horton’s is there now. Classic Canadian.
