Art Pause

Having fully recovered from my surgery, I now await Ric’s return from his. He had a total reconstruction of the knee – 10 new parts he claims – and yesterday his pain was not well managed, but this morning, rested and feeling better, he is anxious to get home. In the meantime, I deal with stress by “picturating” as Ric calls it. Ink, pencils, markers, watercolours – my art station is set up and I am creating.

Would love to see your art/ doodles/ sketches. Link up if you feel so inclined. Have a good day all. Putting on my nursing cap, so may not be around for the next bit. We’ll see how the patient behaves.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

      1. You have no idea how you have helped me! I wasnโ€™t aware of this problem, but I did notice that I didnโ€™t get more traffic to my website! So thank you so much. My son fixed it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. These are beautiful VJ! You’re so talented! I was just wondering how Ric was doing, so I’m glad you answered that for us. Praying for a speedy, as-pain-free-as-possible recovery and strength and stamina for you. Take care of yourself and you’re patient!
